I’m Grace Gamble, a WordPress developer based in the Boulder, Colorado area, and the founder of GG Dev. I’ve been building websites since 2016. Today I build custom WordPress themes and Gutenberg block libraries for small businesses, nonprofits and growing teams, locally across Colorado and remotely anywhere.
How I got here
My path to web development started outdoors. I studied forestry, geology and environmental studies at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. In 2016 I completed the RefactorU full-stack web development bootcamp in Boulder, then stayed on as a teaching assistant, helping new developers learn to build web applications.
Teaching showed me how much I enjoy explaining technical ideas in plain language. Clients still tell me it’s what they value most about working with me.
Where I’ve worked
Before starting GG Dev, I built and maintained websites for agencies, startups and established companies:
- LifeOmic: managed seven high-traffic WordPress sites as Web Engineer, leading redesigns and improving performance, accessibility and security.
- Printfection: owned the company’s WordPress site as Web Developer, leading its rebrand and migration. See the Printfection case study.
- Scaled Agile: built a content gating system with PHP, React and WordPress.
- Merrill Lynch (through TEKsystems): built internal applications for financial data.
- Agencies: Goozmo in Boulder and Status Forward in Asheville, plus freelance projects for clients of all sizes.
In January 2025 I launched GG Dev to give small businesses and nonprofits the same care and technical depth that larger companies get.
What I do
I build custom WordPress themes and Gutenberg blocks, with no page builders, so your site is fast, accessible and easy for your team to update. For one healthcare group, that meant 49 websites running on a single block theme. I also offer redesigns, ongoing support, and SEO and AI search audits. View the Advanced Care healthcare group case study.
How I work
- Plain language. You’ll understand what’s happening and why, without the tech talk.
- Judgment-free. No question is too basic, and no site is too messy to fix.
- Accessible by default. I’ve built with accessibility in mind for about 8 years, because every visitor deserves a site that works for them.
- In it for the long run. I train your team at launch and stay available afterward.
Beyond the code
When I’m not at my desk, you’ll usually find me on a trail with my dog, Tajar. My background in environmental studies is part of why I love working with mission-driven organizations like Wildlands Restoration Volunteers.
